Saw quite a lot of pics of the floods in the
North on the news channels ,saying that
the Lake District received 314.4 millimeters
thats more than 12 inches,thats hard to
believe so much rain could fall. The Irwell
was also mentioned,how did the valley make
out?.I remember the Irwell flooding Waterfoot
in the 40s,the water was coming down bacup
road and the mess it left behind.Anyone got
