Anyone out there know of a reliable system and registry checker?...

When you do a search for registry checker software the list is endless, some are freeware and others you need to pay to get the full version and to be honest I am at a loss.

As you can imagine weather forecasting involves a hell of a lot of files and I go through excessive amounts of file creating and deleting within a week. I am looking for a piece of software that I can run and that can tell me if there are registry or files problems and will then sort them out.

I already have Panda Antivirus 2008 running and that for me is just fine for antivirus and spam, but I am looking for something to manage my system rather than just letting it get out of control over the weeks and months.

I am willing to pay 10 to 15 pound for a decent one if anyone knows of one...

Thanks in advance.

Matt.

Hi MVH. I can thouroughly recommend the freeware Ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com). It's worked well for me on Windows 2000, XP and Vista and can clean up all your old temp files, history and other general rubbish too. The 'C' stands for cr*p , by the way!!

I can also recommend the Ccleaner, Took over 200MB of Cr*p off my new Vista x64 PC.

The only thing it did'nt do was fix my 64bit browser.
