Just got myself one of these new Nokia N95 (http://tinyurl.com/3y7p25) from the Carphone Warehouse.

Anyone got one and have any tips or tricks to share?

Well impressed with it so far, especially the 5MP camera.

Still trying to sort out the wireless lan settings, though presume it's my WEP settings blocking it somewhere.

Its a good phone a friend at work has one i still have my N80 which is simular, using the LAN connection is very good fun its the only reason i go into McDonalds where you can go online for free.

If you are struggling with the LAN settings i'm sure i'll be able to help you.

Still stuggling with WLAN settings and keep getting a 'No Gateway Reply' error.
I'm pretty sure it's my WEP settings somewhere along the way, or it's not getting the IP address from Zen, my ISP.

Managed to get on t'interweb using the GPRS option, but this is apparently quite expensive.

I'm pretty sure that you should set it to get the IP address from your router's DHCP. :bonk:

It's set to get it automatically, but it's not doing that.

I'll have a butchers at the Youtube vid and see where I need to enter my IP.

Thanks guys.

SunshineSukie here Lee ... Beefy has one of those, had it for a while now and it's fabulous. Took some excellent pics and vids in Tenerife last year with it when we didn't have Beefy's superdooper camera with us.

Beefy has paid for the satnav facility as well - about £60 for 3-years I think and it is EXCELLENT! No need to have a 'proper' sat nav as well and a fraction of the size!

I am addicted to the Snakes game .. I have had Motorola for years (Pebl at the mo) and really miss good ol' Nokia Snakes.

Think Beefy had a bit of a problem ah-hem, or should I say 'challenge' getting the WLAN working but now, wherever we go he has a check to see if he can pick it up. When he can it works well.

I can upgrade mine at the end of next week - can't wait, gonna get me one of them babies!

Cheers Sunshine Sukie. I'm well chuffed with it at the mo and am still working my way around it.
I've had Smartphone's for the past 5 years, so am a bit rusty on the Nokia menus. They're very easy though and I'm picking it up in no time.

I'm considering getting the sat nav too, so will definately look at prepaying especially if it works out cheaper.

The 8Gb version wasn't available, 3dom. The normal version is more than enough for me.

Was thinking of recycling my old phone with Envirofone.com (http://www.rossendaleonline.co.uk/go/jump.php?m=envirofone), although I have kept most of my old ones for some bizarre reason.
I'm a horder and hate getting rid of stuff! Much to the dismay of the missus, who would like to get rid of most of my 'treasures'! :bonk:
