Hello

Went to the Old Mother Redcap pub near Oswaldtwistle with a few friends.

They do a carvery all day. Went last friday it was excellent.

£3.50 !! for the carvery. As much as you can eat really.

Its £3.50 per serving from monday to saturday, £6.50 on sundays.

Really worth going :thumbs:

The way that I would get there would be to go over Blackburn Old Road - The one that takes you past the Farmer's Glory. Carry on to the cross-roads in Blackburn where the Suzuki car dealer is. Turn right there, 100 metres down to a set of traffic lights. Turn right there and Old Mother Redcap is 1/4 mile up the road on the left.

Hi went to Old Mother Redcap Today was the worst meal I have had since Spanish Hotel 20yrs ago The Beef was like an Old Bull couldnt chew it Gammon tough but Turkey was fine gave the meat to the dog all it was fit for at least she chewed through it T he veg was cold and tastless We had soup to start Tomato u could stand a spoon up in it was that thick we sent it back as that was cold came back slightly warmer qued for ages just to get a drink and order food short staff I know its cheap but no excuses for cold food and if u cant eat it its not cheap a bad experience Maybe a one off doubtful but I will try Duke of Welly for comparison later rather than sooner:( :wave:

I'm sorry that your Old Mother Redcap experience wasn't very good. :(

Thats mad, We also went to the Carvery today at Old Mother Redcap.

Cant grumble tho, £20 for 4 peeps including drinks. Its not going to be the best cuisine at that price. You get less meat at the Duke too ;)

With the cold weather coming in and the nights drawing in a carvey sounds good :thumbs:
