Just wondering whether anyone has done a booze cruise to France?

I quite fancy it, but the drive down to Dover is putting me off, especially with petrol prices at what they are.

I reckon I'd have to get plenty of cheap wine to compensate for the fuel to get there and it'd almost be pointless going.

I reckon that booze is now so cheap in our supermarkets that these sorts of trips aren't really necessary ...... unless you take an articulated lorry. :bonk:

In which case you are going to get stopped and trying to explain that's for personal consumption would be a bit hard.

Happy boozin'

With the decreasing Euro plus fuel costs it would probably bust the car to have a profit. OK if you live in kent with those cheap crossing dailys.

That's what I'm thinking, it just wouldn't be worth it. Petrol would be about £100 and then ferry on top.

May as well stock on 3 bottles for a tenner from the supermarket.

I imagine people living in Kent, Essex etc have a field day and nip over whenever they want!

You beat me to it. :bonk:

Father in law just came back from a trip to Bruges with 3 boxes of wine for £20.
12 litres of wine for £20 - and the ironic thing was it was Blossom Hill from America. :bonk:

but if you can bring back fags, backy and cigars to sell you would top up ur profits! also why go in the car, if ur just nipping over to get booze and fags then get a train and take a decent suit case!

That's what I'm talking about.
49p a bottle - can't be bad!

It'd be good if we incorporate it into a break too. We're thinking of going over to France for a holiday at some point, but by plane so bringing back large amounts would tip us over the baggage allowance. :bonk:
