2008/2009 Fixtures released

The football fixtures for the 2008/2009 football season were released today - anyone looking forward to their teams first game?

In the Premiership, Man Utd play Newcastle at Old Trafford and City are off to Villa on the first day of the season on the 16th of August.
Bolton play Stoke at home and Blackburn are away to Everton.

The Championship and lower divisions have their opening games one week earlier.

Any big local games on the first day of the season to look out for?

Bury are at home against The Dingles, sorry, Burnley in the first round of the Carling/Milk/Rumbelows Cup on 12th August. Should be an easy win as the Shakers head for Wembley:D
