I have a couple arriving next thursday (30th October) who are doing research into their family history.
The main family connections are from Haslingden which I can deal with through the records we have at Haslingden Roots but part of the family came from the Bacup area and the couple have given me a couple of addresses to see if the buildings still exist today.
In 1861 the family were at Old Meadows (next to Dog Pits) the in 1871 & 1881 at 12 Weir Terrace and then in later census at 13 Dog Pits Lane.
Would like to know whereabouts these places were and if not still standing what is there today.
Any help from Bacup experts appreciated.
