Over the past few weeks Rossendale Borough Council NEAT Officers have been giving out promotional leaflets on the market.
The NEAT team have been encouraging resident to visit the market and offer them the chance to win a food hamper containing on local produce available from Rossendale Markets.
The lucky winner Mrs Lythgoe was presented with a hamper which included, assorted shortbread, a selection of boiled sweets, a delicious homemade cake, crumbly Lancashire cheese, refreshing camomile tea and marmalade, kippers, a selection of exotic fruit and fresh fruit and vegetables.
All of the products in the hamper came from Rossendale Markets.
Mrs Lythgoe said "This is an excellent idea to help bring people to the market. I am delighted with the hamper.
Cllr Judith Driver said, "We are really pleased to be able to reward a customer of the market with this lovely hamper. We hope we have introduced new customers to Haslingden Market as a result of the promotion and we aim to carry out similar campaigns to raise awareness of all of Rossendale's excellent Markets."
