I was running over Holcombe Hill a couple of evenings ago.

I vaugley noticed Manchester in the distance so took a photo.

I've had to 'process' the photo a bit with my software in order to cut through the smog, but I think it's turned out quite well.

Near the middle of the photo you can see the Big Wheel next to the Arndale Centre and on the far right the new Hilton Hotel, the tallest free-standing building in the UK outside of London.

What else can you spot?

Hope you enjoy.

Great picture!
I keep half seeing it when I head over Owd Betts, but the smog is usually too much to make anything out, so you did well to process that!

Left of the Big Wheel, I can see the Arndale's office building (light brown), CIS Tower (black tower), Urbis (greeny building) and the tower from Strangeways prison.

Anyone spot the plane?

Nope, I'm in IT as a day job.

I just like to get out Running or Walking (sometimes a bit of both) on the hills around Rossendale. I take a camera with me and snap away.

Cheers.
