Some boozers in the Valley in no particular order are:-
The Crown in Bacup. Great beer and food ok for a teatime session. Not as good as it was when Trevor and Kathy had it but still ok.
Kimberly Club, Stacksteads. Fab beer, great locals. A real hidden gem.
Robin Hood, Helmshore. Great beer. Warm, welcoming traditional Lancashire pub with log fires.
Griffin, Haslingden. Great beer but a bit spartan. Ambience sometimes spolied by a very foul-mouthed crowd at the bar who churn out the vilest language continually.
Duke of Wellington, Grane Road. Cheap but neither good nor cheerful. Very cheap carvery though not good. Screaming kids wall-to-wall.
Holden Arms, Haslingden. Unmemorable.
George & Dragon, Bacup. Beer ok. Landlady trying hard.
New Inn, Bacup. Great if you want a punch-up. Scrotes.
The Farmers Glory, Roundhill Road, Haslingden. Now a restaurant. Food good, service good but I wonder how well it will do. Seems a bit pricey for the area though we enjoyed our visit.
Craven Heifer, Burnley Road, Rawtenstall. Not bad. Full range of Moorhouses beers in good condition. Lively crowd, mixed ages. Worth a visit.
