Quick Time Movie

I recently purchased a new camera (Canon IXUS 150) and found that the videos taken on it (although they play OK in Picasa) when I tried to make a continual video of several videos- they would not play! I understand that his is because it cannot read the Quick Time Movies (all other videos on my old Nikon camera were .avi) I believe there is a programe that can change movies to another format but there are so many websites out there that I am a bit wary of downloading anything I am not sure of - which are safe and which are not. Had a look at one - - but got a warning from Webroot so didn't continue.

Does anyone know if there are there any safe websites out there for changing video formats?

Not absolutely essential, I know, but it would be handy for sending video presentations to relatives etc.
Many thanks

Re: Quick Time Movie

Try one called Handbrake.

I use it for converting dvd's to put on my server, but it will not only convert many types of file, but it can also stitch them together too.

Hope this helps.
Happy with life !
