Re: Little things that make my day

hows about this for a starter .... was waiting for the bus in accy .. had just missed one .. so was waiting a while ... but wasnt stood in the bus shelter .. was stood next to one of the stalls .. a queue formed .. mainly pensioners but quite a few school kids as well .. anyway bus eventually arrived everyone finally got off ... and everyone started to get on ... a couple of women shoved in .. but i just stood there .. thought let the pensioners on first .. respect for my elders .. and was stood there .. and an old gentlemen who was in the queue said to me are you waiting for the bus . and i said yes i am ..he said well there you are get on .. you were waiting before me ..and i said no you go ahead i can wait .. he said no you get on .. and there was a schoolgirl from st chris's behind me and he said to her my granddaughter goes to st chris's but she'll already be home by now and you get on as well ... and yes i did say thank you ...

Re: Little things that make my day

So you lot started without me, here goes:

A few Saturdays ago, I awoke and went out into the garden with my coffee, to my surprise there was a Grey Dyker (small antelope) in my garden running around trying to find a way out, how it had cleared my two meter fence, I have no idea!

I opened the pedestrian gate down into the gorge, I filmed it for about five minutes before it found the gate and slowly walked back into nature.

I still feel good when I think about it, there are many Dyker in the gorge below my house and they used to eat in my garden at night 20+ years ago when I had no fence and there was no crime.

Flungy

p.s. I read that there are 75,000 auto accidents per year involving deer in the U.K.

Re: Little things that make my day

A while ago I used a one piece motorcycle oversuit that I hadn't used for years...and found a 20 note in one of the pockets.

Re: Little things that make my day

My one solitary snowdrop that has emerged. Looks quite pathetic really but it has made my day.

Re: Little things that make my day

Laurie, do you still get "Bluebells" under the trees in spring, I know or I used to know where there is a large patch around Albert Works!

I would like to see them again one day!

Flungy.

When I was knee high to a grasshopper I can recall picking bluebells at Whalley Abbey. I was about 6 at the time.
