PRESS RELEASE:

Popular TV vet, Roger Till, returns to our screens this autumn with his exciting new 5 part series, ‘Roger & Pee’ .

Charting the history of small domestic animal urine from the temple cats of Rameses III to the bionic space cats of NASA, Roger takes us on an ammonia-tinged journey of discovery as he explores the facts, myths and superstitions surrounding cat pee and dog piss.

================================================== ==========

Episode 1 “What a Giza!”

Roger travels to the great pyramids and reveals some fascinating pissy facts: just how those ancient bricklayers got lime into their cement; why the pharaohs feared and worshipped cats; what really destroyed the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and, the surprising link between your own furry friend and the creation of the Sahara Desert.

Episode 2 “Season of the Witch”

Striding the forbidding slopes of Pendle Hill in his native Lancashire, Roger Till looks at some of the legends and superstitions that have grown up around the cat and its potent piss.

He visits Newchurch-in-Pendle and muses upon one of history’s unanswered questions: In 1612, did cat piss lead to the hanging of ten innocent women?

A quick jaunt to Rossendale follows as Roger has a meeting with Milton Throstle, a man who is convinced that cats are aliens and that they use their urine to mark landing areas for their spacecraft. Roger joins him for a midnight walk on the Haslingden moors and witnesses some out-of-this-world activity in a car park.

Episode 3. “How much is that dog **** in the window?”

Roger makes the hazardous journey to the southern Polynesian island of Bacupoona (Pop. 15) where dog and cat urine is used as currency by the natives; a savage race, all of whom are the living descendents of ship-wrecked people from Bacup, England.

In 1935 a ship bound from Heysham to the Isle of Man was hijacked by a group from that town who, somewhat drunk, decided that it would be ‘a good laugh’ to have a go at steering. They were never seen again.

Roger joins in at the island’s annual Games where he learns the rules of ‘Whatchoo Luckin’ At’ with hilarious results as the winners are anointed with the Holy Golden Liquid of Dog. (With Subtitles)

Episode 4 “Houston, we have a problem!”

What happens when a cat pisses inside a space craft? Astronaut Budd Weiser knows, and he tells the terrifying tale of the urine that nearly stopped the Space Shuttle programme to our man Roger Till.

Later, Roger visits the Astro Cat Training College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where cats undergo a grueling training regime in order to realize their dream of going into space to annoy other life forms. But first, they must master the skills needed to fly a light aircraft solo…

Episode 5 “It’s been a long, strange, pissy trip.”

Roger Till looks back on some of the highlights of the series (Mexico’s white dog poo, How cat piss defeated Hitler, and the legend of the Incontinent Cat Boggart) but first – he’s off to Bristol to give some much needed advice to a resident that is convinced that Stomper, next door’s tabby, is slowly killing his rose bushes. It looks like a closed case until Roger turns detective to reveal an unexpected Siamese suspect from over the back.

I like the sound of this and I imagine you could do for my career what you did for GB's modelling career. Is the contract in the post or should I collect it from Broadway Chippy Inc.? And there must be more ideas out there - how cat pee sank the Titanic, Man with collection of 3,000 bottles of dog pee etc.

This is typical of the Telegraph; sourcing their stories from press releases without acknowledgement.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
