We use the word 'oined' to roughly be equivalent to upset. A Scottish lady who lives close by often uses the term 'blethering' to mean talking unimportantly.

New word for me yesterday .
Blathering. Had never heard it before, appears to be same meaning as Canbits blethering. Think I have always used babbling . But really like blathering . Sounds more an accurate description of repeated , nonsense , mindless chatter .

That makes sense. I was in Earby / Thornton-In-Craven (bordering the two roses , perhaps they have pink ones ??) when I heard it.

Anyway I am blathering. But still love new word.

Re: Words??

English is a wonderufl language and unlike the stupid Frogs have no problems with it absorbing other words from languages. Oops using racist language, dont give a dam. Thye actually have a Government department to stopthis happening and removing the words. They must have a Winston Smiths friend working for them.
