It was so loud and irritating me greatly in my sleep deprevated state.
Logical thoughts now that if I lit a few pieces of kindling the smoke would have moved him on.

Re: Cornucopia

Had my first visit to Lidle on Sunday. They had been advertising in the press, a workbench like a B&D workmate for the amazing sum of 12.99. So I thought I;d give one a try. Not that I needed one but at that price it was too good an offer not to buy.
So yesterday I decided to put it together as it comes in a flat pack, could not make head nor tail of the meagre instructions but used the illustration and common sense. Once together impressed with it and its strength. Supplied with it is a small spanner of no use luckily I am well equipped, workshop wise that is so I had no problems.

Re: Cornucopia

Just seething at the stupidity of the racist Gestapo and their cronies. One cannot speak now without being accused of some sort of racisism. The latest, I have just read on the net about the programe Pointless which I have never watched. Apparently they showed a picture of 2 young Pakistani girls looking at the counter in a shop. The celebrity contestants thought the answer was corner shop, it was The Spice Girls. Now there is a hue and cry accusing them of being racist. I am now going to use as much racial language as I can as I am sick and fed up of these idiots.

Re: Cornucopia

The latest plan for preventing the BBC showing its excellent dramas at prime time also makes me seeth.

If ITV dont like it then they can make their own and show them at prime time too - let the viewers decide what the want to watch.

I haven't heard anything about this.
- does follow on from conversation we were having at work though. Working Sunday evening on Bank Holiday weekend & none of us had set our home tv's to record anything. Never before have we had the choice of so many tv channels . Prime time, peak viewing, cross section of people, different interests & age ranges and yet none of us had found anything worthy of pressing a record button for.

Re: Cornucopia

Dont believe it. Yesterday in between races at Oulton Park I watched the Dambusters for a nostalgia fix. Can recall going to see it at the Picture House with my granny, cousin Micheal and his mother Nan. I was in Mr Greenwoods class at Peel Street and all the boys used to hum the Dambusters March by Eric Coates. But I digress I wanted to see if the racist Gestapo had got at the film and got the TV company to edit out Guy Gibsons dogs name. It was a black Lab called Nigger. A horrible word but history should not be edited.

Re: Cornucopia

While getting ready to go to a funeral this morning I was watching Sky News with sub titles. The subject was Grayson Perry, the first lot of sub titles called him Gracie Perry. I could not stop laughing at the mistake, or was it?

Re: Cornucopia

Tomorrow's World
They should do reruns of that. Would be really interesting to see what we were supposed to be having & what never made it passed design stage.
There are plenty of other reruns shown.
The Dave channel appears epitaph to blessed Jeremy Clarkson & Top Gear , along with current news related comedy shows , but repeated from 2011 so hardly current news and QI with Stephen Fry - had never realised so many had been made till I watched a few, they were reruns of repeats again & again and the Christmas special was aired throughout Easter & bank holiday
Cheap television fodder

I think all these cookery/Bake off programmes are "cheap television fodder."
