Mill Owners made some serious till. We recently went to the Helmshore Textile Mill and the guide suggested that it took the mill owners 4 weeks profits to pay for the upkeep of the mill for the year, another month to pay for all the staffs wages for the year and then the rest was theirs !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fountain was constructed by Andrew Handyside of Brittania Iron Works in Derby.
Top tier missing don't know when and don't know where it went.

Not the same people who are constantly taking the lead of the museum roof lately but probably for the same reason!!

cant the lead be replaced with a non profitable material?

surely there must be an alternative.

church roofs seem to have the same problem

lead is good money for thieves to weigh in
