Walk up past the entrance to the Sunday Car Boot place.

Follow the lane around to the left.

After another 50 yards a path goes off to the right, diagonally up the hill to Hutch Bank.

Part way up there I thought the Church looked about the right angle.

Cheers.

Re: Carrs Area.

Are the football pitches that were there, now on the other side of the bypass?

That old big house looks lovely - anyone any idea as to who lived there?

When the deal was done to purchase the land for the bypass, St Mary's managed to secure an agreement that would provide 2 new pitches and a new club house when the land adjoining the bypass was landscaped. Very shrewd indeed!

If I remember correctly, St James' Football Club, who owned the pitch to the left in the old piccy, took the money and ran.

Re: Carrs Area.

The family that lived in the house in the late 50's early 60's where called Slater. There was a daughter, I think may have been called Heather and she was a very attractive girl. She was several years older than me and would be in her early 70's now.
Cheers Norman
