Re: diesel 65p ?

It is biodiesel I know someone who uses it but he runs a car that's rather old and worth about 50, my company would be upset if I needed a new engine in my newish car LOL.

My car has a sticker that says no biodiesel inside the fuel cap so I keep paying the inflated price, got a "bargain" today at Morrison's in Preston "only" 102.9 per litre...fortunately the company pay for most of the fuel I use.

Re: diesel 65p ?

The entire fleet of Tesco trucks run on biodiesel. Can't be doing much harm to them Brent or they wouldn't do it. I think they had to mod the engines before using bio though.

Re: diesel 65p ?

biodiesel degrades seals and hoses, it has different solvent properties than normal fuel. it gives less performance as well.

you can make your own though. its only vegetable oils and animal fats.

i know a few people that have ran their car off half diesel / half vegetable oil

A two pence rise in fuel duty will come into effect from midnight, the third increase in nine months.

Re: diesel 65p ?

Why are they increasing the duty on fuel when prices are going up anyway due to the oil producing countries agreeing to reduce the amount of production to increase the price per barrel?

Politicians make me sick.
