'Sir Leonard' was featured in this weeks Free Press and he's got a slideshow of Haslingden's grot spots, featuring potholes, graffiti, Haslingden's 'Famous Scaffolding' and many more.

LCC should be ashamed of those potholes and they'd more at home in a third world country - you can even see the cobbles on one of them.

You can see the cobbles in half of the ones down my street, its ridiculous, i spend a lot of weekends driving gravel tracks in forests, and half of them are in better condition than the roads round here

I found his comment about us paying 2.4 times the council tax that they do in Westminster very interesting along with his comparison of services for our money. I too hope he comes on board here

Ive got some stuff that might just remove the graffiti from Lynchgate, i live just round the corner, so Ill give it a go....they wont damage the stonework but if the council wont do it who will?!

Today 230209 they have started to take down the Barclays Bank scaffolding, glad I'm not picking up the bill

Just an update, all the scaffolding at Barclays Bank Haslingden has now been removed, I wonder what it cost?

its going to be strange not dodging the poles when walking round that corner .... when i went to work this morning the scaffolding was still up there ...
