Haslingden Grammar School had during the late 60's and also I think prior to then:
Musbury RED, Holcombe YELLOW, Grane and Cribden, the last two were green and blue but I don't remember which was which.
We were the first intake not to wear gymslips, but those older than us wore a sash their house colour with the gymslips.

i too can only remeber the 3

i know that before 1979 the orginal names Scott ect chnaged to the new ones

I went to the school with the stripey blazers in the 70's (Paddock House) we had saints as house names as you might expect at a convent school.

Campion (the Champion) Yellow
Moor (poor) Red
Fisher (wishes they were more like Campion) Green
Augustine (disgustin') Blue

Funny what you never forget after years and years LOL...
