i remember the lad that bought it,he was stan robbinsons lad from lumb,had mot place at whitewell bottom.it kinda went down hill from then on.i remember everyone sitting on the long wall on car park at dinnertime.every now and then saw the mechanic from bilforge wheelying his kwak down road past them. those were fun times.

he was like an early version of fred dibnah. top man,spent many an hour in that garage ,learning things about bikes and cars.i believe most of his twenty six bikes he had ,went to winfields hasy.when he died.very sad.

That was Mark taylor Brent, the bike was a H2C Triple, i was on the back of it one day coming down from road end towards Rawtenstall on the back wheel at 70mph.
The beggar never wore his front tyres out, they were never on the ground!
That guy could wheelie anything.

Stan Robinson, i used to spend quite a bit of time there as well, he wasn't a bad old stick, although he wouldn't let you off with much when MOT'ing your car.
Do you remember Dougie who worked there as a mechanic, i keep forgetting his last name, bit silly really because he's been with my second missus (wally) for at least fifteen years, he has a lad called Peter, both were bikers.
