Anyone remember the main man who worked for Jack Schofield.... Morris.

Re: Waterfoot too many questions and no answers

Sue's Brews...!!
In the early`80's, i took a mate over to Burnley to pick up a Morris 1000 car, he was following me back to his place at Duke St, Waterfoot.
On the way home, down Burnley Rd East, it was just before Booth Rd that i saw a wheel overtake me.
The wheel smashed the door off it's hinges at Sue's, then demolished the counter, fortunately they were closed!!
I pulled up and matey ran into the back of my car (cos he only had three wheels left).
I think Sue was still married to a guy called Colin Grimshaw, so i nipped up to his place to tell him, whilst matey hung around outside the shop, because it was unsecure!!
Can't remember what happened in the end, probably matey had to pay for a new door and counter, ah those were the days.

Brent: i should have the vid ready soon mate, been doing some editing for a company which has taken longer than it should have (their fault, not mine).
Any news on the Z drag mate?

Was that the mikman Nige?
Tall, skinny guy, used to hang onto the back of the milk van, then jump off and deliver.
The driver was a larger fella, thought they were brothers?

Fraid not George, Morris was the hired hand and Jack (Schofield) did the driving.
The only driving that Morris was good at, was the cows to the field behind Dark Lane.
