Increase in Housing Developments.

The Housing Developers must be expecting a boom year next year (or at least a good pick up) judging by the marked increase in planning applications recently submitted or already in build.

Re: Increase in Housing Developments.

As long as they leave the greenbelt alone and think about the increase in traffic (not the increase in council taxes!). Property does seem to be selling quite fast again.

Re: Increase in Housing Developments.

Well they ignored traffic problems being caused by the forthcoming hospital land housing

Former Magistrates Court
The Court House
Rawtenstall
BB4 6RD

Planning Application - Rossendale Borough Council

Conversion of former Court Building to nine residential apartments.

- Not a massive proposed housing development, wont impact much on traffic problems and not on green belt ; but where exactly is the parking provision for the nine (+) cars of the potential new owners ?

Re: Increase in Housing Developments.

Waterfoot CP School
Thornfield Avenue
Waterfoot
BB4 9AP

Planning Application - Rossendale Borough Council

Conversion of the existing school buildings into 22 apartments and erection of 6 houses in the grounds.

Again not a massive proposed housing development and not on green belt .
But 28 (+) new vehicles will impact on traffic problems in the area.

Rossendale courthouse plan gets green light despite parking concerns (From Lancashire Telegraph)

... But planning agent David Hancock said: “There is at present 28 public spaces available on Haslingden Road and no restrictions for on-street car parking.

I recently went for a meeting mid afternoon at St Marys Chambers - there were only 10 of us there, we all had to park over at Tescos - not quite sure where those 28 spaces were at 14:00 - certainly not available for anybody that day..
