We cant go on filling holes in the ground, before too long we will run out of places to bury our rubbish. **

Plants like this help but only when there are facilities for people to recycle using them.

Re: Look at whats happening to your waste in Bury...

Looks like things may be a changing. (hopefully).

We need the councils to stop thinking about money they have to spend and instead think of money they can save if they do the job right & get the people to do their bit better.

Many of us recycle well but there are sooo many that are just not bothering.
They need better education, help sorting it all out etc

IMO The councils need to make more better information available trather than the bland catch all leaflets they give out.

And they need to get tough! (but in a fair way).

Probably not as I think that is over Pilswoth way but years ago Transparent Paper (now Printpak) just up the lane from B&Q use to give off a right stink due to the celophane they made, chances are it's them.

Re: Look at whats happening to your waste in Bury...

I thought the smell near B&Q was due to all the scrap yards just on the other side of the motorway...plimsole, plumhole, plimmole....oh you know what I mean, I only ever heard it said once about 15 years ago!

From what I remember there was a thick layer of mud and grease everywhere!

Saying that it's only 2 women and a paddling pool away from my ideal weekend destination then

No It's definitely not the scrap yards at Pimhole, I used to work next to them. Sorry, should have been "Pilsworth" in last post
