Hi,

I know that 2 of our nearest 'neighbours', Rochdale MBC and Bury MBC do a Passport to Leisure.

I am not aware that Rossendale, ie Rossendale Leisure Trust, have one - or I can't see anything on their website - http://www.rltrust.co.uk/index.asp

You could ring their head office and enquire.

Head Office Address: 41-45 Kay St, Rawtenstall, BB4 7LS
Telephone: 01706 242311
Email: Enquires@RLTrust.co.uk

Good luck.

Cheers.

Had a quick look around myself and also struggled to find something for Rossendale. That said I did see places like Marl Pits baths showing prices in brackets that were related to the Passport to Leisure, so there probably is one for Rossendale, but I think a direct contact will be required as Johnny as posted above.

Matt.

Pension age, incapacity benefit are two of them.

Re: Passport to Leisure

HI, Just picked the form up yesterday from Haslingden Baths, the benefits that you have to be on are one of the following:

Income Support
Working Families Tax Credit (less than 15,000 total income)
Housing Benefit
Job Seekers Allowance
Disability Living Allowance
Incapacity Benefit
Aged 60 plus
Dependant children of any of the above.

The reduced entry charge is for one session per day between 7am and 6pm.

You also need to prove that you are a resident of the Borough.

Also confirmation that you are receiving any of the above benefits need to be brought also.

Anyway - hope this helps.

Louise

Re: Passport to Leisure

I was looking at the prices for Marl Pits swimming pool and it's £3.30 for an adult swim, compared to £1.80 if you have a Passport to Leisure card.

As I'm in full time employment and not entitled to benefits, I feel that it's a bit discriminative and I'm being punished for working.
Where is the incentive to work, if you know you're getting everything cheaper?

I agree that over 60's and those that are disabled should be entitled to a concessionary rate.

Why not reduce the admission to £2.50 and let everyone pay the same?
