Aye, they redirected it up the drain pipes!

Got a phone call to say the downstairs loo was flooded - as was the kitchen!
All I can think is that there was some back pressure on the drains that pushed all the water that's in the macerator outlet pipe back, through the non return valve thats not quite non returning as the loo & the sink had overflowed.

The eldest did a grand job mopping it up.

Thats a job for me to fix at the weekend

Daft as a brush is frequently levelled at me. It's not only accents & vowel pronunciation that differ so widely from few miles apart but now objects to define intellectual capabilities !

Glorious spring like morning out there. Sunshine, blue skies, bird song & few crocuses (? croci) are emerging. My lovely solo snowdrop is sadly no more , a certain daughter has crushed it whilst manoeuvring the wheelie bin ( & that one being
the one with driving licence - heaven's help us all when her sister finally accomplishes the same !)

HAD TO LAUGH AT YOUR PROBLEMS UNDERSTANDING rETLAW Lauriel ( what a stupid place to put a caps lock key?) When much younger I attempted to read the Lancashire Witches by Harrison Ainsworth and sections of it contained Lancashire dialect, I gave up on it and it wasnt until I was much older I managed to master a very enjoyable book.

Re: Current Conditions - Live Reports

Often happens early March. I opened my motorcycle shop March 2nd 1979, March 8/9th very heavy snow, Was in Stockport on the Friday took me 9 hrs to get back to Huddersfield.
Anyway a couple of ins here this morning cannot make my mind up whether to get the 4x4 out for a play or use the Vito which is quite good in the snow due to in being front wheel drive and a lot of weight over the drive wheels, plus I need some bags of fuel.

Wheres it gone? Snow that is. Nothing much left here. Waste of time unleashing the X5 yesterday, could have managed in the Vito.

Re: Current Conditions - Live Reports

I am up near Windermere.
All ground level snow gone. Beautiful blue skies and glorious sunshine, tops of all the hills still snow capped & sparkling.
Can never tire of our weather. Difference in 24 hrs never ceases to amaze me.
