FREE to good home.
Aprox 12" black coy carp.
I need to move it very soon.
Also available, pump, filter and some water lillies.
My pond has collapsed, and I have it in a temporary tank.

Re: coi carp

I really have no idea. I'm no fish expert, I inherited these with the house, and grew used to them. I put them into fresh tap water ( so plenty of oxygen), in a plastic 100 gall tank ( so should be plenty big enough). I've done the same thing every year to clean out the pond, so they should have been fine. 3 died within a few hours, so I'm thinking shock rather than disease, but the 4th lasted 2 days, so I thought it was ok. The tank was shielded from direct sunlight, so thermal changes should have been no more than in the pond, which is in direct sunlight.
The silly thing is, this house was empty for 2 years before I bought it, and the fish were left with no pump, no filter, no food, the water was black, but they survived that.
Such is life.

Re: coi carp

Methinks it may have been the tap water, I'm no fish expert either but AFAK they should not be put directly into our chlorinated water - it has to be left to settle for a few days.

Ah well, are you restocking in a new pond or is this your chance at a shed?
