Make Bacup Great website

Just letting everyone know about a new community website we have setup this morning to help promote businesses, events and activities in Bacup. The URL is: makebacupgreat.ning.com
Its free to join and we are trying get as many Bacup businesses and residents to join to help get Bacup back on the map. If you have a business or an event you would like to promote come and join. If you just want to chat to other people in Bacup come and say hello.

Not being funny, but what's wrong with ROL? Does everything you're aiming to do, albeit more widespread, but very well.

Thanks for the comment, there is nothing wrong with ROL, just wanted to create something more specific to Bacup as out of all the towns within Rossendale it seems to be the one that is left out and gets bad press, ie no Christmas tree and poor lights!

So how come we didn't get one? lol We got a wooden hut and a few lights! Ah well it's the New Year maybe we will get lucky this year!

The ones in Stacksteads are there all year round.
I don't think the council put up trees any more. same as making bonfires.
